Being certified by a recognized certifying body like the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board helps a lot, too. Pharmacy technicians that have high school diplomas only, usually receive lower pharmacy technician salary compared to those who spent time and energy in finishing a formal training program. Now compare that pharmacy technician salary with those who are certified pharmacy technicians and you’ll see that certified technicians receive higher salary, at $10.02 to $15.26 an hour.
