Hi guys, I got a Golden Retriever yestoday. Hes 10 weeks old, and weights around 17 pounds(used a home scale, so it might not be right on the mark).
How much food should he be eating a day? I am using the "Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy" food. It says on the side that a 15 pound, 6-11 week puppy should get 3 1/3 C.
How much does my golden need to eat a day to maintain a good diet?

Because he is a puppy you need to give him 4 meals a day until he is 3 months old when you can reduce it to 3 meals and at 6 months he can then go down to 2 meals.
What it says on the packet seems about right for his age and weight. Just divide his daily ration into 4 smaller meals because his stomach is still very small and his digestive system won’t be able to cope with large meals.
Always make sure he has plenty of water available. The dried food tends to absorb a lot of moisture from the dog’s body and he needs the water to make this up.
Increase his food accordingly as he grows. He will start to go through a huge growth spurt between 4 and 7 months of age so to prevent him going skinny and leggy you must up his food during this period.

My dog gave birth to nine puppies, and one is weighing only 2 lbs, while the others are at least 3 lbs. Can someone tell me what the average weight for this breed (golden Ret.) is at three weeks? We are new to this, and are trying to make sure they are all healthy. Thank you.

No heavy traffic even on GW in Hokkaido happenes because of fewer population in Hokkaido except Sapporo city near shopping mall in the afternoon. Be careful to speeding trap.

I brought home a 7 week Golden Retriever last Friday, and my 6 month golden Retriever is doing well with him, but plays a little rough. And, the puppy is growling and biting. I’m concerned that if I allow them to play rough with each other, then the puppy will develop an agressive personality. I read something that says that if the puppy is constantly around this type of behavior, he may not be able to get along wiht other dogs ever. Somebody please tell me what I am supposed to be doing with these two cuties to help them get along. Any suggestions are very helpful.
I don’t think there is any such thing as an aggressive golden. They just don’t have the personality for it. Let them play. They will be best friends and will learn to discipline each other.

Go to the Osaka Castle, but first read up on the Sengoku and the winter and summer siege of Osaka Castle, and, that of Toyotomi Hideyoshi . [Readily available on the i'net, of course.]
Obviously, knowing someone in the area will lead to pleasant surprises and things you would never know or see outside the "Tour Guide" syndrome. Use the computer to find someone in the area who knows, or, your contacts where you live who probably know people in the two areas you intend to visit.
If you have time, write to one of the university English Departments asking if anyone would be favorably inclined to show the "real. . . ," wherever. It works! When I began asking, I discovered that friends and acquaintances had contacts in the far south, and others had contacts in the far north. Saw, heard, felt things the guide books would, could, not cover. Enjoy!
