Android OS Trivia

By now you’ve probably heard about the Google phone. Until now you haven’t learned much about the new Google phones. The truth is that a Google phone is simply a phone that runs the Android OS (also known as the Android Operating System). The Google phone is unlike other phones using the same OS.
There are so many different types of cellular phones that use the Android OS, choosing among them can be quite difficult. If you are already using a Google or Android phone the good news is that you are already using an intelligent piece of technological equipment! Yeah, that’s right: iPhone and Blackberry are no longer the only smart phones in the jungle! If you are interested see the following information for more Android OS trivia facts. Most people must also certainly look at obtaining a free apple ipad prior to they run out of supply.
According to one website Google is not the original creator of the Android OS. We know that Google gets all of the current credit for these phones. Most people even think of them as “Google phones”. From our research, we learned that the very first creators of the Android operating system are Andy Rubin and Rich Miner. They built the system in 2003 and then sold it to Google for a lovely profit. After Google paid for the system, it sat on it for years while Google developers improved upon the original and got it ready for the mobile market. The more time passes, the more Android sales out perform iPhone sales. The Android is outselling the iPhone by quite a lot in six states. The only problem with this study is that the states with higher Android sales are more rural and are likely to not have very good AT&T coverage. The iPhone is currently only available through AT&T so that might have something to do with the numbers. When (if?) AT&T ever loses its iPhone contract exclusivity the numbers will probably change and the study will most likely be redone.
Recent studies show that smart phones, especially those that use the Android OS, are used more by men than by women. While the study does not say why, it illustrates the fact that men are simply more likely to choose smart phones across the board than women are. The numbers are closer together when the iPhone is study. A tiny bit more than half of the iPhone users are male. Seventy five percent of Android OS users, on the other hand, are male. Why this is true is a mystery. Maybe because men seem to be far more likely to buy new technology as soon as it is released? The study does not reach any conclusions about why the numbers end up the way they do.
Choosing your next cellular phone used to be easy. You just took whatever free upgrade was available from your provider. Now people are a lot more likely to choose a cellular provider based on the types of phones it carries. The good news for people who like smart phones is that, because of the Android OS availability, you can have a smart phone no matter which provider you choose. Isn’t that just music to your ears?
