In your first Major League baseball game, you go 4 for 5 with 2 dingers. What do you think the fans will expect down the road? For J. P. Arencibia, the Jays new catcher, numbers like this may not take place enough to satisfy the fans.

The Toronto Blue Jays manager Cito Gaston appreciates the special talent this new kid Arencibia has. He also is aware of his possible future. Being a new catcher in the major leagues will involve a learning curve and too reach his full possibility Arencibia has to understand that.

In an effort to not to have the kid worry too much Gaston wants to back him off somewhat by controlling his playing time in the future.

Gaston would like to reduce the pressure on Arencibia so the kid can just relax and pick the brains of experienced catchers like John Buck and Jose Molina.
